I was born and raised in Colorado; growing up in Boulder. I attended the University of Colorado earning a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology. In those younger days I enjoyed instructing a variety of fitness classes and committed myself to a lifetime of holistic health and wellness. I later moved to Loveland, CO and returned to school at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It was during nursing school that I first became a mother and my perinatal nursing career was born!
I am passionate about all things related to birth, motherhood, children and family. I started Bundle of Joy Birth Services in 2015 after working as a Perinatal Registered Nurse for five years and making the decision to go back to school to become a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). I am a certified Stillbirthday Birth & Bereavement Doula and current student nurse-midwife at Frontier Nursing University.
Through Bundle of Joy Birth Services I provide antepartum, birth, and postpartum doula services as well as share my knowledge of childbirth preparation, pregnancy nutrition, breastfeeding and lactation, as well as newborn and infant care. I am blessed to be able to provide compassionate care and evidence-based education to serve mothers, babies, and families in Northern Colorado.
I am, first and foremost, a mother. I have three awesome kids, two of which I had the pleasure of birthing naturally in the hospital, and the most amazingly supportive husband! Together we enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking Colorado 14’ers; as well as playing in the snow and just being silly. I am an avid “do-it-yourselfer,” I love art and crafting, gardening, cooking and homemaking.
